Operational Description:
The Department of Functional Support is an area within social services that provides support and service to individuals with functional variations. The operation is based on LSS (the Act Concerning Support and Service).
Tranbäret is a group housing facility with interventions according to LSS, located in the Mellanområdet area of Gällivare. Currently, 4 service users reside there, supported by 10 support assistants.
Work Tasks
The tasks involve supporting individuals with functional variations through personalized daily support to create good living conditions. As a support assistant, you will meet the individual needs of our service users based on established implementation plans and in accordance with the organization's guidelines and objectives.
The support assistant's role is to provide support and guidance to help each service user develop their ability and opportunity for independence and societal participation, based on their specific needs, conditions, and interests.
The position involves working independently, professionally, and in collaboration with other staff. You will also have the role of contact person, which includes collaborating with the service user, other professionals, and representatives to establish and follow up on the implementation plan.
Administrative tasks such as documentation and product ordering are also part of the assignment. The position is currently located at Tranbäret Group Housing.
Qualifications
You should have a care-related education or another education that the employer deems equivalent. Knowledge and experience in the field of disability, intellectual disabilities, autism, psychiatry, or methodologies adapted for individuals with functional variations are meritorious. You must be able to express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and document according to current legislation. As a person, you should be confident and secure in your role, with a good ability to act professionally in all situations. The work involves physical activities with service users, so you must have a basic physical ability and interest in planning and conducting activities. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Since staff resources are planned across our operations and work with children may be possible, we also require a police record check.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is an administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.
Working Hours/Duration
Employment: 100%. Shift work including day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Driving license B with manual transmission is required.
Permanent employment.
Probationary period may be applied.
