Yes, needs and imagination guide us, and there will be excellent conditions to continue creating good living conditions in consultation and collaboration with the tenants.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a support assistant in an LSS group home, you will, based on each individual resident's needs and wishes, support and engage them at home in accordance with LSS. The role includes documentation related to the resident, contact with relatives, caseworkers, daily activities, guardians, and other services or authorities that are significant for the resident. Collaboration and good communication skills are therefore important.
The tasks include supportive and motivational conversations, social activities both inside and outside the home, everyday tasks in the resident's home and local environment, delegated health and medical care interventions, and personal care based on individual needs. You will actively work alongside other staff and support pedagogues to plan, execute, follow up, and evaluate residents' activities and support interventions. The work includes establishing implementation plans and handling deviations. Additionally, all common tasks in a home are included.
Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, every other weekend, and awake nights. Please indicate your desired employment level and whether you prefer day/evening or night shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for candidates who have education in nursing programs with a focus on disabilities, have completed child and leisure studies, or have other education that the employer considers equivalent.
Knowledge of and experience working with the target group within LSS is a requirement. It is advantageous if you have training in and experience with methods in clear pedagogy and alternative communication such as TEACCH, TAKK, conversation mats, social stories, and MI. Experience with low-arousal approaches is also a plus.
As a person, we hope you are responsible, structured, flexible, and have good collaboration skills. You take independent responsibility for your tasks in both success and adversity. You plan and organize your time effectively. You also take responsibility for the collective result and do what is necessary for the organization to achieve its goals. You adapt your working methods easily to changing conditions. You pay attention to others' opinions and competencies and give them space in the group in a way that benefits the whole.
Documentation and communication are important parts of daily work, so you need to have good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you lack a passing grade in Swedish at the high school level, a language test will be used to ensure competence. The recruiting manager may decide to use a language test even if there is a passing grade.
