About the Position At Kvarnen, a specialized housing service, we work to create a safe, structured, and meaningful everyday life for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. When interacting with service users, you may encounter behaviors that express stress or anxiety, so it is important that you can remain calm, show respect, and work based on proven strategies and methods. As an employee at Kvarnen, you work closely with service users and have a pedagogical and low-affective approach. Your main tasks are to: - Provide support in daily tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care - Plan and implement activities and leisure pursuits - Encourage and strengthen the service user's participation in their own life We are looking for someone who: - Has a genuine commitment to supporting others and wants to make a difference in their daily lives - Treats people with respect, sensitivity, and patience - Sees collaboration as a matter of course and enjoys working in a team Qualifications We prefer candidates with education in healthcare and social care, such as nursing assistant, support assistant, or child and leisure program. You have experience meeting people with challenging behaviors and feel comfortable in such situations. It is meritorious if you have: - Experience working within LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) - Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and cognitive support - Training in sign language support or other alternative communication methods You need to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, as documentation is an important part of the work.
