About this role
In the city of Mölndal, we are proud to have Sweden's most important jobs where we collectively create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's daily lives every day!
The Care and Support Administration, with approximately 1,500 employees, is one of the departments in the city of Mölndal and encompasses elderly care, disability support, and healthcare.
Konditorivägen is a group home in Lindome for young adults with self-harm issues. Six residents receive individually tailored support in their daily lives. We work with low-arousal approaches and other evidence-based methods to create a safe and stable environment. We are a team of ten committed individuals who support each other, share knowledge, and develop together. Now we are seeking two new colleagues who want to help create the best possible daily life for our residents.
DUTIES
As a support assistant, you will support residents in their daily lives by creating an understandable, manageable, and meaningful existence, working preventively and systematically. You provide professional support and strengthen each individual's self-esteem and belief in their own abilities - all work is based on the resident's individually established implementation plan.
You will be involved in establishing and/or maintaining social networks. Your role also includes supporting residents in developing their communication skills and sense of belonging, as well as providing support in social activities, both individually and in groups. The goal is to support full participation in society based on each person's individual wishes.
You will provide support in all daily tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, culture, and leisure activities. Some residents have pets. Threats, violence, and suicide may occur, but we have methods to manage these situations.
You will be part of a team of support assistants and support pedagogues. You will work with social documentation in the Treserva documentation system and continuously follow up and revise implementation plans. We work with activity-adapted and flexible schedules. Needs are continuously adjusted according to operational requirements, which means you must be prepared to work days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
We value your ideas and commitment, and together we create conditions for development and an independent life for our residents.
Does this sound like something for you? Apply today and become part of our fantastic team!
