Kattfotsvägen 16 is a group home under the LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) located in Umedalen, for adults with intellectual disabilities.

We are now seeking two support assistants – perhaps you would like to become part of our team?
Your Responsibilities
As a support assistant at Kattfotsvägen, your mission is to provide individually tailored support, both practical and social, that strengthens each person's ability to live as independently as possible. Your task involves encouraging, motivating, and creating participation in daily life.
The work is varied and may include:
- Supporting the creation of a clear daily structure based on individual needs
- Assisting with everyday tasks
- Accompanying residents to daily activities
- Supporting residents during activities such as exercise, swimming, walks, and other leisure interests
Through participation and structure, you contribute to creating a developing everyday life towards independence. Every day, we support the residents towards increased participation so that each individual can live life in their own way. The job involves significant physical activity such as walking, cycling, and swimming with the residents. We also apply a low-affective approach in our operations, where cooperation and good communication within the work group are crucial for creating security and stability for the residents and for preventing situations of anxiety, threat, or violence that may occur in the workplace.
You will work closely with colleagues and other professionals to together find the best solutions and contribute to an open, developing, and secure work environment.
Scheduled working hours include day, evening, and weekend shifts.
About You
We are seeking someone with a great interest in working with people, who always meets others with warmth, respect, and patience. You believe in each individual's ability and are driven by seeing people grow. You are calm, secure, patient, and attentive. Furthermore, you are creative and proactive with great commitment and drive, and with curiosity and energy want to help develop the operation together with us. You are passionate about finding new ways to make everyday life even better for our residents and want to be an active part of our ongoing development and change work. Since the position involves physical activities such as walking, swimming, and cycling, we seek someone who has an interest in and enjoys an active workday. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Several years of experience in disability care
Meritorious
- Trained nurse, care assistant, social worker, or other education that the employer deems relevant
- Experience with low-affective approaches in relation to threat and violence situations
- Experience working with various types of structural and communication support
To communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation, and receive medication delegation, good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing are required.
