About this role

The Disability Care Services in Umeå Municipality aim to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction. Within residential care, there are group and service apartments according to LSS for individuals with intellectual and/or mental disabilities. Grubbevägen is a group home according to LSS for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The residence consists of six apartments connected to shared spaces, including offices and on-call rooms. Individual support primarily originates from each resident's apartment. We now wish to welcome two new employees to our organization! Your Responsibilities You will provide daily support to individuals with mental and/or intellectual disabilities. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity, and security. You offer individually tailored support, both socially and practically, based on each individual's needs. Through a methodical, long-term, and goal-oriented approach, you contribute to enhancing the user's abilities, participation, and influence. Working in a low-arousal manner during situations of threat and violence is also part of the job. Together with the users, you will create a safe home environment and a meaningful daily life. You will assist users practically with cleaning, laundry, cooking, personal hygiene, leisure interests/activities, and medication management. Since the organization has access to a minibus, you will also drive it to various interventions and activities. Your tasks will also include various types of administration such as planning support, documentation, record-keeping, and creating implementation plans. Follow-up and evaluation of the work will be a natural part of the operations. Contact with other actors within healthcare, guardians, and authorities will also be part of the job. Co-planning occurs between our operations within Disability Care Services. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening/weekend and on-call night shifts. About You We are looking for someone who has a genuine commitment to working with people and is driven to develop the organization together with colleagues and residents. You are curious and proactive in your work with users and feel great rewards from the individuals' successes. Furthermore, you are calm and secure in your role and follow routines to achieve good quality in your work. You have a professional demeanor towards users, relatives, and other stakeholders around our users. Personal suitability will be given significant weight. To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, as well as to write and access care documentation and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms. Requirements - Educated nursing assistant, support educator, social worker, psychologist, or other education that we assess as equivalent - Experience working within disability care services - B driver's license Meritorious - Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities - Experience in low-arousal responses in situations of threat and violence - Experience working with various types of structure and communication support Other To ensure that the individuals invited for interviews best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
