Your Assignment
Gamla Värmdövägen Service Residence is an LSS (Disability Support) facility in the scenic area of Nacka. We have eight apartments, six of which are on the same floor with a shared kitchen and living room for dinners, social interaction, and activities. Two additional apartments are in an adjacent entrance. All are two-room apartments with kitchen, bathroom, and balcony.
As a Support Assistant, you will focus on the individual needs of each client and work pedagogically to create a secure and meaningful daily life. Your tasks include:
• Providing personal care support
• Assisting with meals and medication management
• Helping with cleaning and daily routines
• Facilitating social contacts and communication
An important part of the work is motivating and supporting clients in developing their abilities and participating in activities, both at home and during leisure time. You will document and plan according to implementation plans and contribute to a work approach characterized by structure, participation, and development.
Work hours include day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.
Your Experience
To be considered for the position, you need to have:
• Education in care and support or child and leisure studies, with courses in disability/special education, or at least three years of similar work experience
• Experience working with adults with autism and cognitive disabilities
• Familiarity with low-affective approach
• Computer and documentation skills, including work with implementation plans
• Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Additional qualifications include education or experience with IBIC, AAC, and clarifying pedagogy.
