JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking an engaged support assistant for our leisure and short-term activities according to the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). At Galaxen, children and young people come on certain days who need environmental change, stimulation, and/or whose parents need respite. The staff's tasks include following the children's usual routines, such as school, leisure, sleep, etc. The work involves ensuring that children have a meaningful and developing everyday life, adapted to their needs.

Staff responsibilities include:
• Providing support and care in daily activities such as meals, hygiene, and leisure
• Planning and implementing pedagogical and social activities, both individually and in groups
• Creating structure and security through clear routines and adapted communication
(e.g., visual support, sign language support)
• Collaborating with guardians, colleagues, and external activities regarding the child's needs
• Documenting interventions according to the implementation plan and following up according to LSS
• Actively working to strengthen children's independence and participation
The position will involve shift work, including day, evening, and night shifts, with every other weekend on duty.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Support assistant or other education that the employer deems equivalent, preferably within healthcare and social care, children and leisure, or social work at a minimum upper secondary school level.
Previous experience in adapted schools, short-term activities, low-affective approaches, clarifying pedagogy, and knowledge of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) is meritorious.
