JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an engaged support assistant with experience in disability services for the group home at Storgatan 105.
Your primary tasks will consist of providing residents the opportunity to live a meaningful life in community. With a pedagogical approach, you will focus on the individual needs and wishes of each resident, providing support in their daily living. The work also requires the ability to manage and prevent challenging situations and behaviors.
An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate residents to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time.
This LSS housing is for adults, where you will have the opportunity to work in a safe environment and contribute to our collective systematic improvement work, including responsibility for implementation plans and documentation.
The work suits you if you can work days, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking candidates with an approved high school diploma from the Healthcare and Care Program, Child and Leisure Program, or equivalent education focused on disability services. We prefer candidates with additional training in the field and experience working in LSS or psychiatry with individuals with complex needs.
To succeed in the role, you need strong collaboration skills, genuine commitment to people, and a patient, calm approach that creates stability and security for those you work with.
Meritorious skills and experiences:
• Manage challenging behaviors using low-affective approach
• Alternative and complementary communication (AKK)
• Development work based on a structured approach with clarifying pedagogy
• Supervision
The work offers the opportunity to make a real difference for people with disabilities, but it also requires high levels of competence, commitment, and personal maturity. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
You need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. We use language tests before proceeding with recruitment.
