The Department of Labor Market and Adult Education is responsible for the municipality's labor market measures, daily activities, adult education, and issues related to higher education, such as vocational training and other post-secondary education. Our goal is to provide the residents of Botkyrka with good opportunities to engage in studies, work, and employment. We are 330 employees working to enable more citizens to achieve self-sufficiency.
The Position and Responsibilities
We are looking for a Support Assistant for daily activities.
The operation is part of the Department of Labor Market and Adult Education.
Daily Activities at Enterprises is one of five unit areas within Daily Activities in Botkyrka Municipality that offers meaningful employment for approximately 140 residents with decisions made under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).
You will work in our daily activities alongside a colleague, where you will plan and implement activities that provide added value for both participants and the community. The operation collaborates closely with actors in the business sector as well as with the Culture and Leisure Administration’s sports facilities, public baths, and parks in Botkyrka Municipality. The work also includes tasks in other operations, such as our cafés, Hågelby Park, grocery stores/retail, laundry, manufacturing, or in a second-hand store.
Your main responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and adapt activities based on each participant's abilities, strengths, and support needs.
- Implement and follow up on activities based on the participants' individual needs and interests.
- Support participants in daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment where participants feel involved.
- Document and establish implementation plans in the Lifecare system.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders within the municipality to develop the operation.
- Conduct joint wellness activities such as strength training, badminton, and swimming.

Who You Are
You have an education as a social pedagogue, from the care and nursing program, or another education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working with individuals who have various support needs and are accustomed to planning, implementing, and following up on activities based on individual circumstances. You also have experience in work that involves documentation as well as verbal and written communication in Swedish with participants, colleagues, and partners.
Other Requirements:
- Documented experience in engaging with individuals with intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric diagnoses, and mental health issues.
- Experience working with digital tools.
- A valid B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Knowledge of the documentation system Lifecare.
- Experience working in restaurants or cafés.
- Experience in the service or construction industry.
As a support assistant in daily activities, you need to be collaborative and enjoy working closely with both colleagues and participants. The work is team-based and requires good communication skills, sharing information, and creating joint solutions to ensure that each participant receives the right support. The role also involves collaboration with actors in the business sector and other operations, which requires attentiveness and respectful interactions in all contacts.
You work in a structured manner and find it easy to create order and routines in daily tasks. You are confident in your professional role and can handle situations that require patience, judgment, and stability. Through your relationship-building approach, you establish trusting contacts with participants and contribute to an environment where they feel safe, involved, and motivated.
