Job Responsibilities Are you interested in making a difference as a support assistant for individuals in daily activities? We are now seeking a temporary support assistant for our facility on Lindhultsgatan, focusing on sensory experiences, communication, and care in a pleasant environment. The facility is located in Vidkärr, at Lindhultsgatan 25, in a tranquil area surrounded by beautiful green spaces. We work on the principle that each individual should be involved and have the opportunity to influence their day. Our facility also includes individuals who are deaf and/or blind, which means we place great emphasis on communication and accessible interaction. We offer a stimulating and developmental assignment where you'll become part of a competent and committed team of 16 employees. The work primarily consists of direct support to participants, but you will also: • Maintain contact with relatives and other important people in the participant's network • Actively work with implementation plans • Perform continuous social documentation in Treserva You will be part of a team of support assistants and support pedagogues. If you haven't previously worked with Gothenburg City's documentation system (Treserva), you will naturally receive introduction and training. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a degree from the Care and Support Program, Support Assistant Education, or Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in disability services comprising at least 200 vocational education points, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for persons with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Communication is a crucial part of the work, requiring Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1 with a passing grade. Candidates who do not meet the Swedish language qualifications may be offered a language test through Educateit. It is also a requirement to have experience working with individuals with multiple disabilities and/or deafblindness. You should have a good understanding of the target group's need for adapted communication, structure, and daily support, and the ability to create security and participation in interactions with each individual. Experience working with sensory experiences as part of pedagogical or supportive work is meritorious. We also welcome experience with or knowledge of alternative and complementary communication (AAC), as well as sign language skills. We are seeking a responsible individual with the ability to take initiative and follow up work carefully and reliably. You should have a professional approach and show respect, attentiveness, and care when interacting with users, colleagues, and relatives. You are communicative and able to express yourself clearly, listen, and adapt your communication to different needs and situations. Additional Information This is a temporary position until April 30, 2026, with commencement according to agreement as soon as possible.
