Job Responsibilities We are looking for a new support assistant for BmSS Krabbeliderna! Krabbeliderna is a residential facility providing special services for individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors. We are seeking a colleague who wants to provide support to individuals in their daily lives, both inside and outside the home. As a support assistant, you will work based on implementation plans, work shift descriptions, work routines, action plans, etc. You will support the creation of meaningfulness in daily life. Your tasks include providing support to residents both inside and outside the home based on their individual needs and wishes. You will receive continuous guidance from a support pedagogue. By establishing and following implementation plans, you ensure that the residents' needs are prioritized. They receive a safe home with the opportunity to live like everyone else. Your role includes motivating residents in their daily lives. This may involve encouraging social contacts outside the home and creating conditions for enriching leisure activities based on the individual's interests. As a support assistant, you enable our residents to develop and grow. The work includes social documentation and medication management according to delegation. All social documentation is done in the documentation system Treserva. If you have not previously used the systems employed by the City of Gothenburg, training will be provided. The residential facility providing special services offers support around the clock. We base our work on the residents' needs and may need to adjust working hours accordingly. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, weekdays, and weekends. Qualifications We are looking for candidates who have a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities that includes at least 200 vocational training credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for individuals with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Communication is a crucial part of the job, which requires you to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written forms. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing provider Educateit. Previous experience in healthcare and social services is advantageous, as is experience working with the target group. Good computer skills, knowledge of social documentation, and a B driver's license are also considered merits. We also see it as an advantage if you have knowledge and experience in the following methods: LAB (low-arousal approach), AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), Clarifying pedagogy, Sign language support, IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), and MI (Motivational Interviewing).
