Functional support aims to create social security and increase the opportunity for independent living for the residents of Härryda municipality. We are looking for a support assistant on a temporary basis for BmSS, which has 5 ground-floor apartments. Båtsmanstorpet is beautifully situated in a residential area in Mölnlycke. It is close to a bus stop that can quickly take you to Mölnlycke center or Gothenburg. In the center, you will find shops, restaurants, and cafés. Working as a support assistant is varied and involves providing safe and good care and support in daily life as well as stimulating leisure activities. The work is planned based on each individual's specific needs and circumstances. The role includes assisting with care, shopping, cooking, cleaning, leisure activities, and more. It also involves responsibility for social documentation and advocacy tasks, as well as medication management according to delegation. We work in a low-arousal and structured manner to ensure that individuals can lead as independent a life as possible. The role requires a good understanding of the laws we operate under. The work can sometimes be both challenging and physically demanding, which requires you to be confident in yourself. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Härryda municipality is working to reduce the proportion of hourly employees and instead increase the base staffing. Therefore, the municipality applies co-planning, which means you will work some shifts in other units, but your main working hours will be at your home unit. The position is a temporary contract from January 2, 2026, to August 1, 2027. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a trained support assistant who sees opportunities instead of obstacles. You have an open attitude and actively contribute to a positive work environment. You have the ability to work independently while also being a good team player. You can translate theoretical knowledge into practical approaches in everyday life. Competency Requirements To be considered for recruitment, you need to meet the following: • You have completed a nursing program, are a certified nursing assistant/support assistant, or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. • You have experience working with individuals who have physical or intellectual disabilities as well as within the autism spectrum. • B driver's license. • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Good computer skills. Meritorious • You have experience working with individuals with mental or neuropsychiatric disabilities. • You have experience with low-arousal approaches, AAC, and clear pedagogical methods. • You are familiar with ESL, care and support coordination, and MI. • Experience with TimeCareMultiAccess and Treserva.
