About this role

Are you looking for a varied, independent, and important job? We want to strengthen our team within LSS housing that supports the residents of Lund who receive assistance and services through our LSS operations. About the role and your responsibilities We are looking for someone who has good knowledge of both spoken Swedish and sign language, as we work with clients who use both forms of communication. The ability to communicate with all our clients, regardless of their communication needs, is of great importance. In this role, you will support our clients with individually tailored assistance such as shopping, cooking, personal care, and cleaning. Regular recreational activities are organized collectively, and for clients who wish, we also provide individual support for activities. Through pedagogical support, alternative communication, and care, you and the team work to provide clients with good living conditions and independence. Your responsibilities also include developing implementation plans, documenting, and conducting regular evaluations. As a contact person, you will collaborate and communicate with parents, relatives, guardians, and colleagues. Working hours are during the day, in the evening, and every other weekend, with a full-time measure of 36.33 hours/week. Qualifications We are looking for someone with updated and documented experience in Swedish sign language, and who is hearing. We prefer candidates who have prior experience working with the target group. If you have approved grades from the health and care program, the child and leisure program, support pedagogue training, or other education that the employer deems equivalent, it is an advantage. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, as well as basic knowledge of digital tools. About us The unit is a service residence located in central Lund. The focus of the operation is on neurodevelopmental disorders, where some of our clients are deaf and communicate using sign language. The workgroup knows each other well as they have worked together for a long time. It is a supportive team that values collaboration and maintaining a positive atmosphere at work. We are therefore looking for someone with similar values, who is humble and passionate about pedagogy and LSS.
