JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking a Support Assistant for LSS activities, daily operations, and short-term and leisure activities for children and youth with LSS needs. These are combined positions involving work in both daily operations and short-term care. Welcome to apply!
Galaxen is a short-term and leisure facility for children and youth. Children and youth come to Galaxen on certain days when they need environmental change, stimulation, and/or when parents require respite. Staff tasks include following children's regular routines, such as school, leisure, sleep, etc. The work involves ensuring children have a meaningful and developmental daily life, adapted to their needs.
Daily operations are an LSS intervention for individuals with functional variations, aiming to provide meaningful occupation. The activity should offer the individual stimulation, development, meaningfulness, and community according to their wishes. A primary goal is to develop the individual's opportunities for work in the short or long term.
As a Support Assistant, you will work with colleagues to plan and develop the operation. You are expected to collaborate with users, colleagues, relatives, guardians/trustees, and external contacts, always focusing on the user.
The position involves working shifts, including day, evening, night, and every other weekend.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Support Assistant or equivalent education, preferably in healthcare and social care, children and leisure, or social work at a minimum high school level.
Experience in daily operations, short-term care, low-affective approach, clarifying pedagogy, and knowledge of AAC is advantageous.
