Job Responsibilities As a support assistant with us, you will work to enable individuals to live as independently as possible. You will strive to provide high-quality care and are expected to engage all senses to contribute to a rich, exciting, active, and independent life for people with disabilities. Working with individuals with various intellectual disabilities requires strong commitment, empathy, responsiveness, collaboration, and perseverance. Within our daily activities, we have a wide range of work areas, and you will support participants during the varied activities of the workday. We work with great respect for the participant's integrity and tailor support to each individual. You will follow the implementation plans for each participant to ensure they have the best possible life. The work is planned, documented, and closely monitored, so it is important that you feel confident in documentation. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is creative, has an easy time conveying knowledge to participants, and has a genuine interest in working with people, meeting each individual based on their needs and wishes. You should be self-assured and comfortable working with individuals who require continuity and structure. Additionally, you need to be highly empathetic and able to read our participants' needs. As a support assistant, you will be part of a team where high demands are placed on collaboration and accountability. We also want you to be a good colleague with a positive outlook. Educational requirements are: - Care and Social Services program with courses in "Social Pedagogy" and "Special Pedagogy 2" or - Child and Recreation program with a focus on social work, including courses in "Basic Care and Social Services," "Special Pedagogy 1," and "Special Pedagogy 2." In addition, a passing grade in Swedish 1 and Social Studies at the high school level is required. Alternatively, other education that the employer deems equivalent. Personal suitability and previous experience in similar work are meritorious. You should have basic computer skills and experience with documentation. The job also requires you to have a driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle. Conditions Working hours are during the day on weekdays. Monthly salary and other employment benefits according to the applicable collective agreement. Before employment, we will request a criminal record extract from the Police Authority, specifically "Extract for work with children with disabilities." A probationary period may apply upon hiring.
