Care for Individuals with Disabilities Working in the department for care of individuals with disabilities (OOF) means making a difference in another person's life every day. Within the department, there are many different services such as group homes, housing support, personal assistance, short-term supervision, short-term accommodation, and more. In this role, you will meet individuals with neuropsychiatric, intellectual, and physical disabilities. We are now looking for two support assistants/residential assistants for permanent positions. One position is fixed at Kanalgränd in Hemse, and the other is a flexible role associated with Kanalgränd, which involves working flexibly at various residences based on needs in both Hemse and Klintehamn. In Area 9, there is a group home in Hemse, a group home in Visby, and the Mobile Team/Housing Support in Hemse. Working as a flexible assistant means you will be involved in all our services in central and southern Gotland. Your Responsibilities: Your duties will include, among other things: - Supporting users in daily routines such as personal care, hygiene, meals, and activities. - Managing assistive devices and supporting users in their use. - Motivating users during all interventions and encouraging independence. - Performing medical interventions under the delegation of licensed personnel. - Tailoring support and guidance according to each user's individual needs. - Working based on IBIC and a salutogenic approach with a focus on self-determination and integrity. - Participating in work across both LSS and SOL services as needed. - Working flexibly according to scheduled hours, including days, evenings, every other weekend, and on-call duties. Who Are You? As a support assistant, you have completed upper secondary education with a focus on care and nursing, child and leisure, or are trained as a social educator and/or personal assistant. For the role of residential assistant, upper secondary education is desirable, and for the flexible role, a B driver's license is required. Experience working in care for individuals with disabilities is advantageous, especially if you have experience with challenging behaviors and low-arousal responses. To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible, self-driven, and have good collaboration skills. You are confident and stable in your professional role, take initiative, and see what needs to be done. You can adapt your communication style to the recipient and are attentive to others' needs and signals. Additionally, you possess the ability and knowledge to engage with people in a professional and low-arousal manner. As all communication and documentation occur in Swedish, it is important that you have a strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability based on the competencies described above, as well as how these complement and strengthen the existing group dynamics.
