The Social Services Department is responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act. We aim to implement interventions regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by putting the individual at the center to meet their needs. The assignment involves a strong customer focus and service-oriented approach.
LSS and Social Psychiatry Providers, with over 400 permanent employees, is a service provider targeting children, youth, and adults. We are guided by LSS, SoL, and HSL, with implementation responsibility for interventions regulated by these laws. Our operations are characterized by putting the individual at the center and collaborating to meet their needs. We have a strong customer focus, excellent service spirit, and provide conditions for cross-boundary work that is both inspiring and professionally developing.
Ulaxgatan Support Housing is aimed at individuals who, due to a functional impairment, need certain support and services.
Staff work from a nearby apartment where residents are also given the opportunity for social interaction at certain times.
The position will involve work during days, evenings, and weekends. Overnight shifts may be required.
DUTIES
As a Support Assistant, you will provide support to users with varying needs due to their functional impairment. You will work to meet the user's needs based on approved interventions and implementation plans. The work is grounded in the LSS core values, which means highly valuing the individual's needs, participation, and self-determination. As a Support Assistant, you will perform tasks such as care and support to help users manage their daily lives and have their needs met. This is done by working with social health-promoting activities such as assistance with daily tasks. This may involve being available as verbal support, guiding users in their daily lives, and practically supporting them by, for example, shopping, making lists, structuring the day, cleaning, cooking, or assisting with personal hygiene.
Motala Municipality works based on the Full-Time Norm, which may mean working at more than one workplace through resource time.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a high school education in healthcare and social care, or child and leisure programs with a focus on pedagogical and social work, or another education that the employer deems equivalent.
Experience in similar work is meritorious, as is knowledge of sign language. You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
