Folk High School Fårösund
Welcome to Gotland's Folk High School Fårösund – a place for development, learning, and creativity.
Gotland's Folk High School has a mission to conduct activities aimed at achieving the folk education goals established by the state. These are to:
• Support activities that contribute to strengthening and developing democracy.
• Help enable a greater diversity of people to influence their life situations and create engagement to participate in societal development.
• Contribute to reducing educational gaps and raising the educational and cultural level in society.
• Help broaden interest in and participation in cultural life.
The Folk High School is located in Hemse and Fårösund.
Gotland's Folk High School in Fårösund offers programs in social pedagogy, film crew, storytelling, and writing. The school has its own restaurant and boarding facilities.
Diversity and inclusion make Gotland's Folk High School an exciting meeting place with many different perspectives and knowledge. We are now seeking a cleaner/maintenance worker for Gotland's Folk High School at the Fårösund unit.
Your Responsibilities
As a cleaner/maintenance worker at Gotland's Folk High School, you are part of the entire school's operations and contribute to all school activities and collective development.
You will be part of folk education, where the work is closely connected to both participants and staff. You are resilient under stress and have a fundamentally flexible approach.
Your tasks will include performing cleaning and other related service work. Some plant care is included. All staff at the school also have a social pedagogical role.
Who You Are
Vocational training in cleaning or other cleaning-related education is an advantage, as is previous experience in cleaning work.
You are engaged, have a high level of service, and a positive attitude towards the people you encounter in your professional role every day. This job suits you if you want to take personal responsibility and work with cleaning and service. You enjoy varied tasks and plan your work independently.
You easily adapt your working methods based on changing conditions. You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and are comfortable using computers.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
About the Education and Employment Administration
As part of Region Gotland, we in the Education and Employment Administration contribute to the learning and development of children, young people, and adults. We are responsible for, among other things, preschools, primary schools, after-school care, adapted primary and secondary schools, cultural schools, upper secondary and adult education, labor market initiatives, youth centers, and the reception and establishment of newcomers. Together, we provide opportunities for lifelong learning.
