Would you like to help shape a newly started LSS facility for children?
Vintergatan is a child residence under Section 9, Paragraph 8 of the LSS Act, which opened in August 2025.
The residence houses two children with intellectual disabilities and autism. The facility is staffed by a total of 12 employees, with 6 working night shifts and 6 working days, evenings, and weekends. We collaborate closely with guardians, school, nurse, and occupational therapist to provide the best possible support for the children.

Your Responsibilities
As staff at Vintergatan, you will work to ensure that each child has a safe, developmental, and meaningful everyday life. Together as a team, we create the best conditions for children to grow, develop, and be active participants in their lives – every day.
The role includes:
Supporting and participating in children's daily activities, both at home and outdoors
Driving children to school in the Vintergatan vehicle and participating in meetings with school, habilitation, child and adolescent psychiatry
Helping children with personal hygiene
Responsible for typical household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and washing dishes
Maintaining close dialogue with parents and relatives
Documenting in journals and care plans
Medication delegation and managing epileptic seizures
Collaborating with managers and colleagues, including regular team meetings
Aggressive and self-harming behaviors may occur. Collaborative planning with other facilities may take place in the future.
Working hours are days, evenings, and weekends.
About You
To succeed and enjoy working with us, you have a good ability to collaborate and be flexible. Naturally, you will maintain a professional approach towards children, relatives, and other stakeholders. You are engaged, share our values, and want to develop and work towards established goals together with managers and colleagues. As the children are quick, good mobility and energy are required. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing, to communicate with children, relatives, and colleagues, write and review documentation, and obtain medication delegation
Requirements
Approved high school education
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism
Experience with aggressive and self-harming behaviors
Swimming ability, as we will be swimming with the children
B driver's license, to transport children
Meritorious
Trained nursing assistant, childcare worker, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
Training in low-affective approaches, epilepsy, AAC and/or TAKK
Experience with the Treserva operational system
Additional Information
As we work with children, smoking is not allowed during work hours.
