The Language and Folklore Institute (Isof) Seeks Language Promoter for Romani, Focused on Youth (Temporary Position)

The Language and Folklore Institute is now seeking a Language Promoter for Romani with a focus on youth for the Department of National Minority Languages and Swedish Sign Language.
The Language and Folklore Institute (Isof) is a government agency that builds and spreads knowledge about language and culture in Sweden. We are experts on the Swedish language, national minority languages, Swedish sign language, dialects, names, and folk memories.
Assignment
You will work at the Department of National Minority Languages and Swedish Sign Language. Your tasks will include:
• Planning and implementing language revitalization activities in collaboration with colleagues
• Providing information and advice on language revitalization
• Participating in internal and external arrangements, both digital and physical
• Helping develop and update Isof's materials about national minority languages
• Developing methodological support materials focused on children and youth
• Giving presentations and sharing information on social media
Your Background
• Minimum high school education, with preference for higher education in a relevant field
• Excellent knowledge of Romani and Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good understanding of Romani dialects
• Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word templates)
