Skanska's Rock Group: Blasting and Rock Work Experts
We are experts in blasting and rock work, performing both large and small projects nationwide. We are particularly active in northern Sweden, Mälardalen, and Gothenburg.
We are now seeking experienced blasters for above-ground work
As a blaster, you will be responsible for planning and executing blasting work in rock and stone. You will manage loading and detonation, ensuring work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Other tasks include:
- Responsible for proper handling of explosives
- Responsible for blasting in construction projects
- Reporting production to the production manager
- Maintaining and servicing equipment
- Working on business improvements
- Ability to perform ADR transportation
For this position, we seek candidates residing along the Norrland coast, from Gävle to Örnsköldsvik. We conduct projects nationwide, requiring flexibility and willingness to travel for work. Per diem allowances apply for work outside your home location.
Blasters with Construction Experience
We seek positive individuals who can easily identify opportunities and solutions. You often have ideas about how work can be done better, safer, and more efficiently. Taking responsibility and being meticulous are natural to you, with a drive to get things done.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum five years of blasting experience, including construction work
- Blasting certification, ADR Class 1, and experience with explosive materials
- Bolt setting and rock scaling certification and drilling knowledge are advantageous
Working with explosives demands high individual standards. Good judgment is always important, but crucial in this role. We seek someone who follows agreements and regulations both at work and home, with administrative skills and attention to detail. Safety is always our priority, especially in this type of work. We want candidates who prioritize safety and have high risk awareness.
Driver's license (B-class) is required, along with fluent Swedish language skills.
Safety and Health Requirements
This position is subject to the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods. The employer will regularly request suitability assessment in accordance with mandatory legislation. Employment is contingent on passing this assessment.
The role requires a valid fitness certificate for quartz-related fibrous dust. Medical screening will be conducted before employment. Alcohol and drug testing will also be performed.
