This is a completely new and exciting position that is part of a 3-year project funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). The project is intended to work differently from regular Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) education for Third-Country Nationals who either have little progression in SFI or do not engage with traditional teaching methods. The idea is to work towards internship placements, with a language support professional regularly visiting and supporting both the individual and the internship site in Swedish language development tailored to that specific workplace. We want to combine internship and language training in a new way, and therefore we are seeking a very creative person who enjoys challenges. The most important aspect of the position is finding methods for Swedish language development. The position is part of a project team of approximately 3 people within a larger project involving 7 municipalities. All municipalities will have experience exchanges and joint training, with the main project management located at Region Uppsala.
The language support position is placed in the Integration and Work Unit, which is currently in a development phase. The unit currently has 8 employees, and the project will be a separate part of the unit.
The work involves some travel as we have multiple towns, and communicative ability and independence are very important.
WORK TASKS
Your work tasks will primarily consist of:
• Coaching in language development
• Contacts with municipal workplaces and external internship sites
• Documentation and follow-up of language development
• Collaboration with work group and external partners
• Develop and create language learning materials

QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone who has completed at least 1 year of studies in Swedish as a Second Language at the university level with approved results. You have experience in teaching SFI or Swedish as a Second Language, or possess other experience deemed equivalent. You also have a B driver's license and good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have previous experience with Motivational Interviewing (MI), Supported Employment, and experience working with the target group. We welcome knowledge of multiple languages. It is also advantageous to have previous experience working with individuals far from the labor market and with self-assessment tools.
