About this role
We are looking for a driven special educator who wants to work in a team within a larger preschool area in central Örebro. Does that sound interesting? Apply to us at Team City!
About the position
We are seeking someone who is passionate about ensuring that every child has the best conditions for learning and development. You enjoy collaborating closely with colleagues, principals, and educators and want to be part of an engaged team.
Team City consists of several preschools led by six principals. You will be part of a team alongside a special educator colleague, and you will support three principals each. As a special educator with us, you will be an important and integral part of both the BHT (Child Health Team) and FHT (Educational Support Team).
You will work broadly with both preventive measures and guidance, as well as overall support for educators, conducting assessments and consultations, and coordinating contacts with various relevant parties. By creating environments that promote children's learning, development, and health, we can together achieve our goals.
Examples of tasks:
• Be a qualified discussion partner, guide educators, and initiate appropriate interventions in collaboration with other professionals based on children's needs, as well as maintain contact with relevant guardians.
• Work preventively and promote well-being while following up and evaluating implemented measures at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
• Identify, analyze, and participate in efforts to remove barriers and address the causes of difficulties children encounter in their educational and learning environments.
• Collaborate with educators to conduct assessments, action plans, and pedagogical investigations.
• Work together with the preschool area's child health team.
• Contribute to facilitating the transition between preschool and primary school.
• Be familiar with and adhere to the relevant laws, policies, and procedures of the organization.
• Work and document in the operational systems used.
About the workplace
You will have your office at Engelbrektsskolan near the sluice and will be within walking or cycling distance to all preschools. At the same address, you will find the existing special educator, principals, and support functions. The preschools in Team City are located in central Örebro and number 13 in total. The team includes six principals, two special educators, an administrative coordinator, and an administrative assistant.
Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, there are approximately 4,530 employees. We engage with the young residents of Örebro from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school.
We collectively take responsibility for creating equal opportunities for the young residents of Örebro and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. With trust and courage, we build our preschools and schools together. We tackle the challenges of the future, for the benefit of every child.
