Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own conditions. Each student should be able to leave school with desire, knowledge, and good prerequisites to meet adult life and the future. Österro School is located five kilometers west of central Sundsvall. Österro School serves students from preschool through second grade, with after-school activities. We focus on learning and strive for excellent study results and high-quality instruction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Österro School is seeking a certified special education teacher who wants to become a key member of our dedicated student health team. You will work closely with school leadership, special education teachers, teachers, and other professionals to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment where each student is given the opportunity to develop according to their own conditions. Your mission, leadership, and development: • Lead, coordinate, and develop special education interventions at organizational, group, and individual levels. • Support and mentor colleagues, and contribute with pedagogical assessments and consultations. • Contribute special education expertise in developing instruction, learning environments, and support structures. • Identify and remove barriers to learning and participation. • Conduct student-centered work for preventive and promotional purposes. • Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work to strengthen equality, quality, and long-term sustainability. • Create and document learning-promoting measures in the operation. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who: • Has a degree in special education. Having a special education teacher degree in combination with a special education degree is meritorious. • Has leadership experience and good ability to organize, coordinate, and develop working methods within schools. • Has experience meeting students with diverse needs and conditions; experience working with disabilities. • Is structured, independent, and able to see the big picture and drive development issues. • Works with a solution-focused, consultative, and inclusive approach.
