Introduction
In Krokom Municipality, there is a central Child and Student Health service that supports the health work in preschools and schools. We are now seeking a special educator to join our team, which also includes a head of operations, counselors, school nurses, school psychologists, school doctors, and study and career counselors.

Your employment will be with the central Child and Student Health service in the municipality. Your tasks will vary based on the needs of our schools. You will work in interdisciplinary teams alongside your colleagues in student health.
The Department of Education and Child Services has approximately 800 employees. The department's activities span the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school (grades F-9), adapted primary school, after-school care, nutrition and cleaning services, mother tongue instruction, and library services.
A day as a Special Educator at Child and Student Health
We want you to work with the principals to drive pedagogical development at both the group and organizational levels, aiming for all students to achieve their maximum potential in relation to the goals outlined in our curricula. The focus is on proactive and preventive work.
You will help facilitate learning for our students who require special support. We value early interventions in the early years of school and therefore systematically work to develop our practices to achieve this. You will serve as a pedagogical support for our teachers, where guidance may often be one of your tasks.
Your qualifications
You are a qualified Special Educator with competence and experience from school operations. You value high participation from staff, students, and guardians in your work as a special educator and have an approach where guidance is a natural working method.
It is an advantage if you have further training in mathematics development.
A valid driver's license (category B) and access to your own car are required.
Additional information
The position is a permanent employment at 100%.
Start date is February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
