Ref: 20252613 Job Responsibilities As a special education teacher with us, you play a central role in the school's student health work and in our shared mission to provide all students with the best conditions to succeed in school. You primarily work with grades F-5 and collaborate closely with teachers, student health teams, and school leadership. Your main tasks include: • Working preventively and health-promotingly at organizational, group, and individual levels • Mapping, analyzing, and following up on students' needs for special support • Participating in educational assessments, additional adaptations, and special support interventions/action plans • Being an active part of the student health team and contributing specialized pedagogical expertise to the school's development • Collaborating with guardians and external actors to create holistic solutions for students An important part of your assignment is to mentor and support teachers in organizing instruction and learning environments to create study calm, good learning situations, and clear leadership in the classroom. You will contribute your expertise in developing structures and working methods that strengthen both student learning and the pedagogical security of staff. You always keep the student's best interests in focus and ensure that each student receives the support and adaptations needed to reach as far as possible based on their conditions. Qualifications We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference – every day! You are a trained primary or preschool teacher with further education as a special education teacher, and you are passionate about creating good conditions for all students to succeed in their learning. Previous experience as a special education teacher is meritorious, as is experience working with students in need of special support. You have good knowledge of school governing documents and how to implement them in practice, and you feel comfortable working with educational assessments, additional adaptations, and special support interventions. You also have experience with mentoring, collaboration in cross-professional teams, and professional development of colleagues – always with students' best interests in focus. You have a strong didactic and pedagogical ability and can lead and organize work around students to create both study calm and a safe, stimulating learning environment throughout the school day. You are happy to engage with research and use digital tools as a natural part of your work to develop instruction and student support.
