As a Special Education Teacher, you will become part of the Student Health Team (EHT) alongside a counselor, school nurse, career counselor, and principal.
You will collaborate closely with teachers to develop the school's special education expertise and support students in need. Your work will include leading development projects, managing documentation such as educational assessments and intervention plans, and serving as an advisor on pedagogical issues at various organizational levels.
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have strong knowledge of school governance documents and can apply them in daily work.
- Possess the tools needed to communicate and build trust with students, guardians, and educators.
- Have a coaching approach and are structured and flexible.
- Work long-term, set goals, test, and evaluate collaboratively with colleagues.
Qualifications
A degree from the Special Education program is meritorious. Experience teaching at the high school level is meritorious. Good knowledge of dyscalculia is meritorious. Significant emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
