Sätoftaskolan is a preschool to 9th-grade school with an associated leisure center. The school also includes the municipality's adapted primary school. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking an engaged special education teacher with teaching certification and a special education degree according to the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100). You have strong special education knowledge and experience within primary schools. To succeed in the role, you have a salutogenic approach and work goal-oriented and systematically, both independently and in teams. You have a good ability to structure, organize, and follow up on your work. Your job responsibilities include: Independently identifying, analyzing, and contributing to preventive work regarding learning and development barriers. Mentoring staff and contributing to in-depth reflections on teaching. Implementing and evaluating special education interventions and support programs directly with students. Documenting and investigating support needs and contributing to the school's development work at individual, group, and organizational levels. As a special education teacher, you are an important part of the school's student health team and collaborate closely with other professionals, school management, staff, students, and guardians to create good and trusting relationships. The assignment at Sätoftaskolan will be adapted to the organization's needs but is currently focused on students and staff in preschool through 3rd grade. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a certified teacher with further education as a special education teacher and previous experience in special education work in primary schools. The position requires that you: - Have a special education degree - Have teaching certification and experience teaching in primary schools - Have experience mentoring educational staff - Have experience with documentation work such as pedagogical investigations and support programs - Have strong analytical skills - Have the ability to build good and sustainable relationships with students, staff, and guardians - Have good knowledge of accessible teaching and special support - Have good knowledge and experience working with students with various vulnerabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders OTHER The position will be filled subject to necessary political decisions and provided it is not required for internal use.
