Gagnef Municipality is an employer with numerous opportunities and great commitment! Here, you can make a real difference for our residents and visitors. In our daily work, we always carry our core values with us. With these, we strive to be present for all residents, communicate openly and respectfully, and continuously develop both personally and professionally. Welcome to join us in meeting the future at Gagnef Municipality! Want to make a real difference? We are now seeking an engaged special education teacher for our two wonderful F–6 schools, both of which have integrated after-school programs. At both Kyrkskolan and Djurmoskolan, you'll find excellent learning environments and beautiful outdoor spaces. Here, you'll meet fantastic colleagues and become an important part of the schools' student health team, consisting of principal, special education teacher, school nurse, and counselor. With the student's best interests at the forefront, we work together at our schools to ensure every child and student has the opportunity to develop as much as possible, both academically and socially. Job Responsibilities As a special education teacher at Djurmoskolan and Kyrkskolan, you'll have a key role in creating an accessible and supportive learning environment for all our students. You will work both preventatively and responsively, in close collaboration with school staff, guardians, and the student health team. You will identify and investigate students' needs, analyze which interventions best support their development, develop and follow up on additional adaptations and action plans, and systematically and professionally document your work. You'll provide advice and support to educators and after-school staff on how to adapt instruction and remove learning obstacles. Through classroom observations, you'll offer concrete suggestions that enhance teaching quality and inclusion. In the student health team, you'll contribute your special education expertise in interdisciplinary collaboration. The assignment also includes close cooperation with guardians, colleagues, principals, and external actors to create the best conditions for students' learning and well-being. Qualifications We welcome those who are proactive and self-driven, who enjoy working both independently and in teams. You have a clear and structured work style, as well as relationship-building skills that help you establish trusting connections with students, colleagues, and guardians. We're seeking candidates with a special education degree, special education teacher certification, or a teaching license with special education competence. You have experience working in primary school and are confident in supporting and guiding colleagues in pedagogical work. You have previously conducted assessments and investigations, and developed and followed up on action plans and other documentation regarding students' needs and development. You have good IT skills and use digital tools naturally in your work. We also value your ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as clear communication is a crucial part of the assignment. Terms Permanent position, 80-100%. Interviews may be conducted continuously during the application period. A police record extract must be presented.
