About the Workplace
Norgårdenskolan is Uddevalla Municipality's largest 7-9 school with just over 500 students in the 25/26 school year.
We have extensive collective experience in school leadership, and principals form a strategic management team with two special education teachers. We start the 25/26 school year strengthened by graduating students' merit value of 233 points and 90.4% eligibility, but we are also humble about taking on new challenges for current and incoming students. We work according to Vision and Direction 2028 and four strategic areas. With support from the entire staff and a newly recruited deputy principal, we are now working to define and refine the work organization to enhance development opportunities.
The school has a comprehensive and cross-professional competence. We have two employees in the roles of special education teacher, social pedagogue, and study and career guidance counselor, as well as, of course, school nurse and school counselor. We have, as confirmed by evaluations, good cooperation between the student health team and work teams.
The school organizes a special teaching group (SU Blue) for students needing individually adapted learning environments and flexible planning.
Additionally, an adapted primary school is organized in the school area, which has its own principal and school management. We collaborate regarding the school's comprehensive and accessible learning environment and operational matters, but do not have a joint school management or shared responsibility.
Job Duties
Special educational support for teachers, aimed at providing good guidance and stimulation and appropriate additional adaptations in the classroom's physical learning environment.
Special educational support for teachers and guardians, aimed at professionalism and good cooperation during pedagogical investigations when a student does not meet knowledge criteria.
Special educational support for the principal, aimed at establishing good transfer structures and professionalism in dialogue and cooperation with guardians, networks, and other societal functions.
Special educational support for the principal, aimed at process development of structures, routines, and organization.
You will also be part of the primary school's collective special educational competence and participate in a few central collaborative dialogues annually.
