Olovslundskolan is a kindergarten through sixth-grade school located in western Jakobsberg. The school also has an adapted primary school for grades 1-6.
We are now seeking a special educator for our adapted primary school.
In the adapted primary school, there are about 30 students divided into 5 classes. The students in the adapted primary school have intellectual disabilities, and many also have additional diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, and language disorders. Our students require a slower pace of instruction and need to be met by calm and secure staff. We utilize visual support and sign language (TAKK) to clarify tasks, routines, and events for the students throughout their time at school and during leisure activities. Our students learn both in subject areas and subject-related topics.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role as a special educator with us, your responsibilities include:
• Conducting and planning instruction based on the Curriculum for adapted primary school (Lgra22).
• Guiding the educators working in the classroom.
• Writing assessments, action plans, additional applications, and other special education investigations.
• Collaborating with various agencies such as habilitation services and child and adolescent psychiatry, among others.
You will work with the team to plan and implement education in a way that promotes the students' development, health, and well-being. Your role involves respecting each student's individuality and providing each student with the conditions to develop trust and self-confidence. You will collaborate with families and create trustful relationships with both guardians and colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Communicates clearly. Ensures that messages are received and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. Reminds and follows up.
• Makes accurate assessments and priorities. Balances complex information and various considerations, demonstrating sound judgment in statements, actions, and decisions.
• Remains calm and composed in stressful situations. Maintains a realistic perspective on situations and focuses on the right issues.
Requirements:
• Degree in Special Education
Meritorious:
• Experience working in an adapted primary school
• Experience working with students with special needs and various disabilities
• Experience working in preschool
We emphasize personal suitability.
The position requires good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
