We are seeking a trained special educator with experience working with students with Asperger syndrome/ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
As a special educator at Ingridskolan, you will work with our students in both primary and secondary education, helping them achieve social and academic goals based on their individual conditions.
You will perform standard tasks such as conducting educational assessments, writing action plans, supporting our teachers during development discussions, and being part of the student health team. Most importantly, you will work proactively and preventively by being actively present in the classrooms.
You will lead and drive the development of our special educational efforts, assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating special education based on the individual needs of students. You may also teach individual students or small groups.
As a special educator, you will have very close collaboration with our teachers and teaching assistants, guiding them in their pedagogical work based on the TEACCH methodology.
**Information about the school**
Ingridskolan is a small primary and secondary school primarily adapted for students with Asperger syndrome (ASD) but is open to all. The school is located in Bergshamra, Solna.
The school operates based on the TEACCH methodology, where each group/class has one teacher and one to two resource assistants.
Ingridskolan is a workplace with excellent opportunities for pedagogical challenges and development aimed at creating good learning and recreational environments for children and young people within the ASD spectrum. To facilitate this, staff receive continuous supervision from a psychologist/educator as well as training in ASD.
