We are now seeking a special education teacher to join Ludvigsborg School. Your Responsibilities As a special education teacher, you will work both operationally and consultatively, providing guidance to both staff and management. You should be able to analyze learning environments and stimulate the development of work methods and approaches within an inclusive framework. Your role encompasses both investigative and developmental work, with a focus on preventive and health-promoting initiatives. Through your position, you will ensure that our students who need special support receive individualized and inclusive treatment and interventions that lead to increased goal achievement. You will also carry out targeted, individual interventions for students in need. In your investigative work, you will, within your area of expertise, conduct in-depth pedagogical assessments, support the implementation of measures based on your investigations, and assist in follow-up and evaluation work based on the conducted assessments. You will maintain contact with guardians for close collaboration between school and home while actively working with students who experience problematic school absenteeism. You will be part of the school's student health team, alongside the counselor, school nurse, school psychologist, social educator, special educator, study and career advisor, principal, and assistant principal, as well as the school's management group. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a qualified special education teacher. Previous work experience as a special education teacher at the middle school level is meritorious. Experience in pedagogical work with children with special needs is also considered an asset. As a person, you are development-oriented, positive, and possess good communication skills as well as the ability to see the bigger picture. We place great value on your commitment, pedagogical expertise, and mentoring ability. We want you to be a stable and secure person who can create trust with the students. You engage with children and parents in a respectful manner and collaborate with other adults in the school for a meaningful and stimulating environment. You are creative and develop good learning environments for the students. You inspire and engage the students while setting high expectations for them and believing that they can meet those expectations.
