Special Education Teacher for Hovås School (Grades 7-9)

Description At Hovåsskolan, approximately 580 students attend from preschool class to grade 9. The school also has a recreation center with four departments, as well as an adapted primary school. Hovåsskolan is located near the sea and forest. We utilize nature both during lesson time and recreational activities. Job Responsibilities In your role as a special education teacher, you will guide staff and serve as a qualified conversation partner, advisor, and support. You will conduct pedagogical assessments such as reading, writing, and mathematics evaluations and analyze students' support needs. The work involves actively participating in the school's student health work together with other competencies in the student health team, and you will support the principal with documentation for decisions about measures for students in need of special support. It is also important that you collaborate with other school forms and external competencies. Together with the school's management team, you will drive the development of pedagogical work, with a special focus on meeting the needs of all students. You will also be involved in developing the operation's learning environments. Qualifications Formal Competencies: We are seeking a licensed primary school teacher with a special education teaching degree. Experience working as a special education teacher is meritorious.
