Holmängenskolan is a newly built elementary school for grades F-6 located in central Vänersborg. The school opened in August 2024. We have nearly 300 students and work in teams around each grade. We also have two recreational departments at the school. With us, every person is an important part of the whole; "we learn together" applies to both children and adults at the school. Responsibilities
As a special educator with us, you will support both students and teachers to ensure that all students reach their potential, with a particular focus on situations where students do not meet the knowledge requirements. You will work within one of the school’s teams around the students in a particular grade, closely collaborating with teachers, special educators, the principal, and others in the student health team. You will systematically follow and document students' learning progress and build good relationships with everyone at the school as well as with guardians. You will teach students, inspire, and mentor teachers in instruction and in professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a licensed special educator.
You are expected to be clear and structured, able to make students active participants, and capable of putting teaching into context so that students understand. You have good collaboration skills and maintain a professional attitude.
