Arvika municipality is seeking an engaged and relationship-building special education teacher for our resource team at Minnebergsskolan for grades 7-9.
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in supporting students' development and who enjoys working closely with colleagues, students, and guardians.
Job Responsibilities
You will work in small teaching groups at the secondary school level and be an important part of the school's resource team. Together with other special education teachers and educators, you will create a safe and structured learning environment where each student has the opportunity to succeed. The role includes coordinating student studies, providing individual support, and maintaining regular contact with class teachers and guardians.
Personal Characteristics
We are seeking someone with a strong ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are attentive, patient, and have a solution-focused approach. You are collaborative, flexible in your pedagogy, and highly committed to each student's development. Your confidence and clarity will help students feel seen and motivated.
Qualifications
Teaching degree, preferably with broad certification or experience teaching multiple subjects. Special education training is desirable, especially with experience at the secondary school level. Previous work in similar roles is meritorious. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
