Do you want to work as a special education teacher and contribute your important skills? As a special education teacher with us, you will be part of the student health team that works closely with teachers and other educational staff in grades F-6.
We actively work to create a calm environment for our students, which is considered one of the most important aspects of a successful school. Students have the opportunity to influence both individually and as a group through various working groups they can join, such as the student council.
Hällby School is located approximately seven kilometers northwest of Eskilstuna city center, centrally in Hällbybrunn. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers who are engaged and driven to develop. Hällby School has around 420 students and about 55 employees. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a special education teacher with us, you will work directly with students, both individually and in groups. By working closely with teachers and other educators, you will make education accessible for students with various types of support. Your role also includes mentoring colleagues. You will focus on teaching Swedish and mathematics based on the students' needs. Your responsibilities include assessing students' needs for special support and developing action plans. In your role, you will contribute your expertise to map learning environments, abilities, and success factors, as well as to the long-term development of work based on students' needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a teaching degree and a teaching license with qualifications to teach mathematics and/or Swedish within the range of grades F-6. You should also have a special education degree or be in the process of obtaining one. It is beneficial if you have experience teaching according to the curriculum for younger students and experience working with students in need of support. The position includes mentoring colleagues, and it is advantageous if you have experience in this area.
You are a confident person and skilled at engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. You are organized in your work but also have the ability to adapt when necessary. You enjoy being part of a team and working closely with your colleagues. You are proactive in special education efforts and effective in communication with both children and adults.
