**Working in Hörby Municipality**
Hörby Municipality, with 15,700 residents, is located in the heart of Skåne, with most amenities and attractions just around the corner. Hörby is a very old trading town, and those of us who live or work here take great pride in our beautiful and diverse nature. The municipality offers a variety of tasks and professions. Working within Hörby Municipality primarily involves providing service to our citizens, ranging from care and support to park maintenance and construction work.

Frostaskolan is located in the central parts of Hörby and is a comprehensive school for grades F-9 with approximately 550 students. The school is divided into two units: a F-6 section with around 280 students and a 7-9 section. The school is within walking distance to Lågehallarna and Lågedamsbadet, where a significant portion of physical education takes place. It is also easy to access nature from the school.
Our teachers possess high qualifications and competencies, with the goal that all students succeed.
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As a special education teacher with us, you will work closely with the school leadership, teachers, and the student health team to create a safe and accessible learning environment. The school is also exploring the possibility of starting a flexible teaching group for which you will be responsible. Your work will primarily take place in a smaller group. You will also play an important role in mentoring colleagues and contributing special educational expertise to the systematic quality work.
The main responsibilities include:
- Teaching students in need of special support in smaller groups
- Designing and following up on individual adaptations and action plans
- Collaborating with subject teachers, student health services, and guardians
- Contributing to the school's development work regarding accessible teaching and inclusive learning environments.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a certified teacher with a special education degree
- Has experience working with students in need of special support
- Is clear, structured, and has a solution-focused approach
- Has good collaboration skills and enjoys working in an environment where we collectively strive for the best for our students
- Has strong proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
- It is advantageous if you have qualifications in SVA (Swedish as a Second Language) teaching and have taught the subject.
