Your responsibilities
The position is a teaching role where you will work at an adapted upper secondary school with the Program for Vehicle Care and Goods Handling. In your role as a teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and planning within the adapted upper secondary school's program, and you will adapt the instruction according to the students' needs. Together with competent colleagues who work closely together, you will be a mentor for the student group. Your responsibilities will include development conversations and communication with guardians and students. You will work actively and effectively to achieve the team's and school's common goals. In addition to teaching, you will also support and guide students throughout the school day, including during breaks and lunch. You need to have a strong interest and motivation to work with our student group.
Your qualifications
We are looking for a licensed teacher with a special education degree, or someone who is currently in training. You need to be qualified in Swedish and preferably in additional subjects. If you aspire to become a special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities, we also welcome your application. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with students in adapted schools. You should have experience working in schools or with youth. Since the position involves teaching in an adapted upper secondary school, you should have a strong interest and motivation to work with young people in need of special support. The position may also involve teaching in our national programs at the upper secondary school.
As a person, you are self-driven, take responsibility for your tasks, structure your work well, and drive processes forward. You possess good leadership qualities with engagement and involvement in your team. You have the ability to motivate students in their learning and understand the different ways people absorb knowledge. Being flexible and solution-focused is of utmost importance; you choose to see the strengths of the student and build on them. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, and we are looking for someone who enjoys working closely in a team.
You will have a proactive role in addressing student absenteeism, using solution-focused conversations and a low-arousal approach and response. You have positive expectations of the students and create good relationships with students, guardians, and school staff.

During the interview, you will need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document.
