Ljungnässkolan is a preschool to grade 6 school with approximately 320 students. About 50 employees work at the school. The school has teachers, lead teachers, special education teachers, counselors, and school nurses. The school has two parallel preschool to grade 6 classes and three after-school care departments. The school and after-school program collaborate on both students and facilities. Our approach provides security and continuity for our students and good cohesion among staff groups. Ljungnässkolan is a training school. This means we accept students from preschool to grade 3, grade 4-6, and after-school care teacher education programs from Linnaeus University in Kalmar. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you an engaged and knowledgeable special education teacher who wants to make a difference? We are seeking a driven special education teacher for our student health team at Ljungnässkolan! As a special education teacher with us, you will work closely with students, teachers, guardians, and the student health team to create an accessible learning environment for all students. You will support students in need of special assistance, adapt instruction, and develop strategies to help them reach their full potential. The school's student health team consists of the principal, deputy principals, special education pedagogues, special education teachers, counselors, and school nurses. Job Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and evaluate adapted instruction for students needing support. Map and analyze student strengths and challenges to design appropriate interventions. Collaborate with teachers to develop pedagogical adaptations in the classroom. Participate in the student health team and contribute to the school's development work in special education. Maintain close contact with guardians and external actors as needed. You are a good role model, attentive, see opportunities and solutions. You create relationships and collaborate with contacts in your professional role, adapted to each situation. The position may also involve some work at Mölstadsskolan, as the two schools are planned to become a joint preschool to grade 6 school in the future. QUALIFICATIONS • Special education teacher degree with specialization in Swedish and/or mathematics. • Experience working with students needing special support. • Good knowledge of using various pedagogical methods and digital tools. • Ability to collaborate and mentor colleagues on special education matters. You have a teaching degree and teacher certification as a special education teacher. You easily create good relationships with students and enjoy working in teams. You are a confident leader in the classroom and an employee who sees possibilities.
