Job Responsibilities
We are now seeking a special education teacher to work with grades 4-6 at Augustenborg School!
As a special education teacher, you will focus on our middle school. Together with teachers and lead teachers, you will plan, implement, and follow up on the results of instruction at both the individual and group levels. You will be responsible for the close student health work at your level and, together with other special education teachers at the school, also across the school. As a special education teacher, you will teach students, work on the learning environment, support teachers with additional adaptations, conduct assessments of students' needs for special support, and write and evaluate action plans. You will also collaborate with other professionals in student health as well as external partners.
Qualifications
You are a qualified primary school teacher for grades 1-3 or 4-6 with credentials in at least Swedish as a second language and mathematics. You hold a special education degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development or mathematics development. You have experience working as a teaching teacher in lower or middle school. As a special education teacher, you should be able to teach, monitor, and assess students' language and reading development or mathematics development. Therefore, it is important that you have strong linguistic competence in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. You need to have a good understanding of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in your daily work. It is essential that you possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills, as well as knowledge of relevant digital tools. The school is working to develop genre pedagogy and mathematics according to the Singapore model, so it is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience in this area.
