It includes accommodations for individuals with dementia, housing for the elderly with mental illnesses, and short-term care. The short-term care at Tallgläntan serves users for purposes such as assessment, rehabilitation, respite, or palliative care. Currently, short-term care consists of 30 places. It is an exciting workplace where all work is carried out in continuous collaboration with care staff, case managers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses. JOB DESCRIPTION The role of a specialist nursing assistant primarily involves user-centered work within the organization, playing a central role in maintaining and developing quality in the service. The needs of the organization will determine how much time is allocated for this assignment, typically around 25 percent of your position. You will drive the organization’s educational efforts, possess strong competencies, maintain a positive approach, and demonstrate ethical competence in interactions with both users and their relatives. Your task, together with the unit manager and colleagues, will be to drive and create a service that is attractive and a natural choice for both users and employees. You should be able to guide your colleagues in educational matters, organizational methods, and take on a mentoring role in: • Interaction • Documentation and implementation plans • Care contact • Planning and follow-up • Specific care in collaboration with care staff • Achievement of organizational goals These core competencies are linked to the role of a specialist nursing assistant: • Team collaboration - work together with other professionals in daily tasks and participate in team meetings. • Quality development - participate in evaluations, provide improvement suggestions, and actively contribute to facilitating the implementation of new working methods. Be proactive in improvement work and support specific care cases. • Safe care and support - document deviations and comply with applicable laws, including SoL and HSL. Participate in discussions on how to reduce the risk of repeated deviations and drive change efforts to minimize risks. Mentor colleagues in educational matters and in the establishment of documentation and implementation plans, clarifying what the role of a designated care contact entails. • Digital tools and communication - utilize and be able to mentor others in the use of digital tools. You will, together with other specialist nursing assistants, be part of a network coordinated by method developers in elderly care. Planning of assignments will occur in collaboration between the specialist nursing assistant, the responsible unit manager, and method developers. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and has further education as a specialist nursing assistant (200 YH) with a focus on psychiatry or dementia. You have at least one year of experience working in elderly care and a strong interest in working towards development in your specialist area. You are attentive and engaged in a way that creates opportunities and conditions for the users you meet. You are responsible and a clear communicator. You should have a good ability to see the whole picture and context while being able to consider the individual needs of persons. It is of great importance that you have strong collaboration skills. Significant emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare will be required to use the title of nursing assistant in care and support.
