About the Position
At BUVA, most operated children and adolescents receive postoperative care after anesthesia and surgical procedures at Karolinska University Hospital. Our young patients receive family and child-centered care in dedicated monitoring areas. To assess when a patient is ready for transfer to the ward or home, we use the Aldrete Recovery Score, which evaluates breathing, oxygenation, circulation, pain, nausea, surgical wound, and level of consciousness.
The unit is open 24/7 with a reduced number of beds during nights and weekends.
As a specialist nurse at BUVA, you plan and are responsible for nursing care and postoperative monitoring. You lead and perform nursing interventions together with a nursing assistant.
We offer a stable, healthy schedule with every third weekend on duty.

have the ability to inspire change and development, take initiative, and are accustomed to prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
