About the position As an intensive care nurse at the ECMO Center, you will be part of a close-knit and interdisciplinary team working with high-tech care for severely ill patients. We handle everything from newborns to adults, both nationally and internationally. Using a modified heart-lung machine, we oxygenate blood outside the body, giving our patients a new chance at life. The ECMO Center also includes the ITC (Intensive Care Transport Center), where we perform advanced transports of critically ill patients within Sweden and internationally. As part of the ITC, we staff: - ECMO transports – life-saving transports with the highest medical competence. - ICU transports – highly specialized transport missions. - NRP missions (Normothermic Reperfusion) – groundbreaking transport missions that challenge and develop your skills. Your main responsibilities will include: - Providing advanced intensive care and nursing at the ECMO Center - Working in an interprofessional team with a focus on collaboration and participation - Participating in the development of the ECMO Center and ensuring that the patient is always the focus.
