**About our available position**
As a psychologist, you will engage in therapeutic work with children and adolescents, their families, and networks.
You will conduct planned and emergency assessment interviews. Psychologists perform a certain number of neuropsychiatric evaluations and benefit from strong collegial support within an experienced team. The tasks require theoretical knowledge and clinical competence.
Your responsibilities can be tailored according to your preferences and interests in combination with the needs of the clinic. You will work in a team comprising doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff.
We hold creative discussions among colleagues to better understand and manage our tasks and to learn from one another. All employees working clinically are offered excellent opportunities for internal supervision.
The workplace is primarily located in Alingsås, with good train connections to Gothenburg, and the clinic is within a short walking distance from the train station.
**About us**
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry outpatient clinic in Alingsås provides psychiatric outpatient care for children and adolescents in Alingsås, Lerum, Vårgårda, and Herrljunga. The catchment area includes approximately 20,000 children and adolescents aged 0–18 years. The clinic is situated near Alingsås Hospital and is organizationally part of the Psychiatry operation at Södra Älvsborgs Hospital, Borås.
We have a well-established and effective collaboration with pediatric clinics, social services, schools, and several other partners in the field.
The region has a Training Unit for psychologists where there is an opportunity to undertake parts of the specialist program. You will also have significant opportunities to participate in internal orientation and advanced courses.
**Your profile**
We are looking for a licensed psychologist. You have an interest in and preferably experience working with children, adolescents, and families. You possess a strong clinical commitment that you can reflect on, both independently and collaboratively with others.
We utilize psychodynamic, neuropsychological, systemic, cognitive-behavioral, and medical perspectives in our therapeutic work. You should be able to navigate these fields in your work with the child/adolescent, their family, and network.
Further education in the field is an advantage and you are someone who enjoys reading and furthering your knowledge. Education is of utmost importance to us, and you are driven to learn more.
