We are now seeking a Specialist Physician or Senior Physician to join our dedicated team in Öjebyn, as one of our senior physicians is going on parental leave. We Are Seeking
We are looking for a licensed physician, preferably with specialist competence in psychiatry and experience in forensic psychiatry. You have a genuine interest in the field, and clinical experience in adult psychiatry and/or forensic psychiatry is meritorious.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We seek someone who is structured, communicative, and possesses professional maturity to handle complex situations with both empathy and clarity. Your strong collaboration skills, combined with your confidence in your professional role, will contribute to a positive and developmental work climate.
What You Will Work With
Here, you will work with patients who have complex care needs in an environment where safety, legal aspects, and rehabilitation intersect. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team where you play a central role in both daily work and the development of the organization.
The work includes typical medical tasks such as medical assessments, medication treatment, and coordination of care interventions. You will be active in care planning and contribute to developing the content of care – always with the patient's best interests in focus.

About the Position
We offer a fixed-term full-time position from 2026-01-01 to 2026-10-31 with good opportunities for extension. Working hours are during daytime. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
The position is within psychiatry: Given the nature of the organization and security requirements, applicants must be prepared to submit an extract from the criminal record register.
