Are you a specialist physician with expertise in psychiatry and want to contribute to the development of psychiatric care in the area? We are currently seeking specialist physicians in psychiatry for our general psychiatric outpatient clinics in both Helsingborg and Ängelholm, with opportunities to combine work at both clinics and flexibility in arrangements.
The Adult Psychiatric Clinic in Ängelholm and Drottninggatan in Helsingborg both belong to the adult psychiatry operational area (VO) in Helsingborg and are part of the Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Aids administration. Here, we primarily assess and treat patients with affective disorders, anxiety disorders, as well as various forms of personality disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions.
The clinics are at the forefront of development and work with standardized care pathways and team-based care. You will thus have the opportunity to work with and contribute to psychiatric care characterized by collaboration, openness, and quality. Each clinic consists of approximately 30 employees from various professional categories, including physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of specialist physician, your main task will be to diagnose, assess, and treat patients based on current research and established best practices. You will often encounter individuals with complex and intriguing care pathways and the need for an in-depth psychiatric assessment, where your expertise will allow you to make a significant impact.
As a physician with us, you will have ample opportunities to develop both the clinic and the content of care in collaboration with the unit manager and other colleagues. We are constantly striving to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience.
Since we receive medical students from the basic education program, you are expected to contribute to the supervision of trainees at all levels. As the operation is classified as university hospital care, we actively invest in both research and education, with several exciting ongoing research projects in the area.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying should be a licensed physician authorized to practice within the Swedish healthcare system. Additionally, you must have specialist competence in psychiatry. Proficiency in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale is required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

You work within established frameworks and guidelines while keeping the patient’s best interests in focus. Personal suitability and good collaborative skills are highly valued.
At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and education. You may have acquired this through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training, and as a co- or main supervisor of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at different levels.
