We are Akademiska Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer healthcare to two million people in Central Sweden. Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother undergoes surgery, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. Here, you will experience both challenging trials and amazing events, in a strong community with colleagues. View parts of our reality in our photo exhibition; akademiskafotoutstallning.se. Our Operation
The Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions affecting ears, nose, sinuses, oral cavity, upper airways, hearing, and balance. We are primarily a surgical operation with both planned and emergency services. Our surgery includes both basic ear-nose-throat surgery and more extensive tumor surgery in the head and neck area.
We provide care to patients from seven regions in Central Sweden and national highly specialized care in certain areas for patients from across Sweden. This complex mission creates excellent conditions for our employees and the organization to develop.
Your Assignment
The position includes work in departments, clinics, and operating rooms, as well as participation in primary on-call duties (day and night shifts). The clinic is research-active, and there are good opportunities to participate and develop research in various areas. You will have the opportunity to develop through stimulating interactions with colleagues and patients and by mentoring medical students. Together, we create a challenging and developmental workplace where freedom with responsibility is a natural part.
Your Qualifications
We are seeking specialist physicians with specialized competence in ear, nose, and throat diseases. Experience and interest in education, research, and medical development work are meritorious.
Your Competence
You are a flexible person who easily adapts to changing circumstances and more often sees opportunities than obstacles. You are responsible, structured, and attentive, with the ability to see your role in a holistic perspective. You have good collaboration skills and appreciate close cooperation with other professional categories.
