The adult psychiatry area (VO) in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. All inpatient care is provided in Helsingborg, and we have a total of 470 employees across the entire organization. Our catchment area includes ten municipalities in northwestern Skåne. Since January 1st, Region Skåne and Lund University classify us as university healthcare, and we are continuously working to increase research connections to our operations.
At the adult psychiatry clinic LARO Helsingborg, we focus on assessment, evaluation, and substitution treatment for individuals diagnosed with opioid dependence. Psychiatry is a significant part of our daily work, and we also treat mild somatic issues and ADHD. Conversations with patients and collaboration with the surrounding community, particularly with the social services, are essential components of our work. We operate in interdisciplinary teams where various professional categories work together to provide the best possible care for our patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a specialist physician, you will be a central part of the team in building our new clinics. You will actively contribute to creating structures, routines, and a working method characterized by quality, collaboration, and a clear patient focus.
In your clinical work, your main tasks will include providing medical advice, diagnosing, assessing, and treating patients according to current research and proven experience. Here, you will often encounter complex and challenging care processes where your expertise makes a real difference for the patient.
As a physician with us, you will have significant opportunities to develop both the department and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We are constantly striving to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience. Since we receive medical students from the basic education program, you will also be expected to provide supervision to all levels of training physicians both in the department and as part of the on-call work at the clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS
You who are applying must be a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you should have specialist competence in psychiatry. Proficiency in Swedish at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s language scale is required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision. Experience in addiction care, preferably within LARO and psychiatric outpatient care, is considered an asset. Experience and interest in organizational development, change management, or the establishment of new units are also advantageous.

At a university healthcare unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and training. This may have been acquired through supervising nursing and medical students as well as training physicians and serving as a co- or main supervisor for doctoral candidates. Please clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
